The Global Association of Risk Professionals, a premier risk management organization comprised of more than 33,000 members worldwide, has appointed four new regional directors: Anurag Gupta, Aurele Houngbedji, Peter Kapstad and Assem Safieddine. Gupta – an Assistant Professor of Banking and Finance at Weathearhead School of Management – and Houngbedji – a Senior Financial Analyst at Ohio Savings Bank – have been named co-directors of GARP’s Cleveland chapter; Kapstad, Head of Corporate Risk Management at Statoil, will lead the association’s chapter in Norway; Safieddine, Visiting Associate Professor of Finance at American University of Beirut & Harvard University, is assuming the role of GARP’s RD in Lebanon.
